When I asked Cee if she had a place in mind that was special to her for taking the pictures, she immediately responded and suggested the Hotel Europe. Vancouver is such a young city where many buildings are less than 10 years old, that anything that tells a story is dear to Cee, who loves the idea of old things rather getting restored than destroyed.

Like the location, Cee’s outfit shows just that old staples never go out of style: a wool blazer, a white shirt and a pair of jeans can look very modern – it is how we style them that creates a contemporary look. The statement necklace from Zara has been on my shopping list for a while. I’m glad I could finally get my hands on this affordable piece. I love to dress it down or wear it with basics as in Cee’s outfit!

    I just love how these photos turned out, Petra! Especially the pops of green, they really seem to jump right out of the images. I had a great time working with you – I know how to relax my face now, for one thing! And I have to say, I think there may be some boyfriend jeans in my future :)
